We are thrilled to be a participating charity in the Disney Wine & Dine 5K. The Loukoumi Make A Difference Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that is inspired by the acclaimed 10 book children’s book series by Nick Katsoris about a fluffy little lamb named Loukoumi (named after the sweet candy) that just wants to make the world a better place! We envision a future in which all children have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others. We encourage children and young adults to make a difference in their own lives by following their career dreams and to make a difference in the lives of others by paying forward their talents through community service projects – all while having fun in the process. Each year we work with over 150,000 children in 30 countries around the world to inspire a new generation of service leaders. The children engage in good deed projects for causes they are passionate about. They learn that philanthropy can be fun and in the process, it significantly improves their self-esteem, mental health, and overall happiness. In addition, we sponsor a good deed curriculum in over 300 schools, the Loukoumi Foundation Treatment Room at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a Teaching Kitchen for the homeless at the Floating Hospital, and a Never Forget Letter Mailbox outside Town Hall in Gander, Newfoundland Canada for families who lost loved ones on 9-11. 1. How does running with The Loukoumi Foundation work?
The Loukoumi Foundation has secured a limited number of registrations for the Disney Wine & Dine 5K. Participation is open to all runners who commit to meeting the minimum fundraising requirement for the race. Upon registration, you will receive access to a personalized fundraising page on FrontStream, where donations can be made directly to your campaign.
2. What is the fundraising minimum?
The minimum fundraising requirement is $400. To begin fundraising with The Loukoumi Foundation, a non-refundable $100 registration fee is required. Please note that this fee does not count toward the fundraising minimum.
3. When will I receive my runDisney registration link?
The runDisney registration link will be emailed to runners once 50% of the fundraising minimum has been reached. Please email bsophia@loukoumifoundation.org once you have met this milestone to receive your link.
Please note: the runDisney registration link is not yet available for this race.
4. How will I receive my race bib?
After reaching 50% of the fundraising minimum, you will receive the runDisney registration link to complete your official race registration. Once registered, runDisney will communicate directly with you regarding race updates and required documents, including waivers.
Race bibs must be picked up in person at the runDisney Expo prior to race day and must be collected by the registered runner.
5. What is the donation deadline?
The donation deadline is September 4, 2026. If the full fundraising minimum is not met by this date, The Loukoumi Foundation will charge the remaining balance to the credit card on file.
All registrations are non-cancellable and non-transferable. By registering, you agree to fulfill the fundraising commitment regardless of participation or inability to run for any reason
6. What happens if I do not use my runDisney registration link?
The runDisney registration link expires and must be used no later than 30 days prior to race day. If the link is not used by this deadline, the registration becomes void and non-redeemable, and no refunds or replacements will be issued.
