We are thrilled to be a participating charity in the runDisney Springtime Surprise 5K at Walt Disney World®. The Loukoumi Make A Difference Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that is inspired by the acclaimed 9-book children’s book series by Nick Katsoris about a fluffy little lamb named Loukoumi (after the sweet candy) that just wants to make the world a better place! We envision a future in which all children have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others. We encourage children and young adults to make a difference in their own lives by following their career dreams and to make a difference in the lives of others by paying forward their talents through community service projects – all while having fun in the process. Each year we work with over 150,000 children in 30 countries around the world to inspire a new generation of service leaders. The children engage in good deed projects for causes they are passionate about. They learn that philanthropy can be fun and in the process, it significantly improves their self-esteem, mental health, and overall happiness. In addition, we sponsor a good deed curriculum in over 300 schools, the Loukoumi Foundation Treatment Room at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a Teaching Kitchen for the homeless at the Floating Hospital, an Exhibit at the Westchester Children’s Museum, and a Never Forget Letter Mailbox outside Town Hall in Gander, Newfoundland Canada for families who lost loved ones on 9-11.

OFFICIAL RULES

1. Eligibility & Participation

• Registrations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Participation is open to runners who commit to meeting the $500 minimum fundraising requirement.

2. Registration Fee

• A non-refundable $125 registration fee is required to begin fundraising.

• The registration fee does not count toward the $500 fundraising minimum.

3. Fundraising Commitment

• The full fundraising minimum of $500 must be met by February 15, 2027.

• If the minimum is not met by the deadline, the remaining balance will be charged to the credit card on file.

• All registrations are non-cancellable and non-transferable.

• By registering, participants agree to fulfill the fundraising commitment regardless of participation status or inability to run.

4. runDisney Registration Link

• The official runDisney registration link will be provided once 50% of the fundraising minimum ($250) has been reached.

• Runners must email bsophia@loukoumifoundation.org once they reach this milestone to receive the link.

• The link must be used no later than 30 days prior to race day.

• If not used by the deadline, the registration becomes void and non-redeemable, and no refunds or replacements will be issued.

• Please note: the runDisney registration link is not yet available for this race.

5. Race Bib & Official Registration

• After reaching 50% of the fundraising minimum and completing official runDisney registration, participants will receive race communications directly from runDisney.

• Race bibs must be picked up in person at the runDisney Expo prior to race day.

• Bibs must be collected by the registered runner only.

How does running with The Loukoumi Foundation work?

The Loukoumi Foundation provides access to a limited number of registrations for this race. Once you register and pay the $125 non-refundable registration fee, you will receive access to a personalized fundraising page through FrontStream, where supporters can donate directly to your campaign.

What is the fundraising minimum?

The minimum fundraising requirement is $500, separate from the $125 registration fee.

When will I receive my runDisney registration link?

You will receive the official registration link after raising 50% of the fundraising minimum. Email bsophia@loukoumifoundation.org once you reach this milestone.

How will I receive my race bib?

After completing your official runDisney registration, runDisney will communicate race details and required documentation directly to you. Race bibs must be picked up at the runDisney Expo before race day and cannot be mailed.
